So some basics here as far as Matt's lore goes:

-He has a strong Eye and Flesh mark from his initial encounter where he was operated on against his will. Part of this resulted in him being given the eye of his childhood best friend, which occasionally lets him see the memories of others as if they were his own. He doesn't have a full understanding of this ability, as he is still human and his lingering conditions from the Flesh rally against his ability to fully succumb to the Eye

-He likes to cuss and has some anger problems but these have been worked on, as his last job made him go through an internal therapy program before he was booted and offered a job at Usher several years prior to his current day

-He is legally dead and from Chicago, so these don't really fit elsewhere in my notes but they will be referenced from time to time

-Feel free to send asks about anything! I can't promise any satisfactory answers on Matt's end, but they're fun for me

Okie, I might do a small overhaul of this blog! the muses will be kept the same. I'm not getting rid of my RWBY muses, don't you worry. and I'll eventually do stuff here too. Oops.

small observation about my dash at least but recently ive seen no less than like 4? different people (varying levels of prompted and unprompted) express the same thing, namely that they miss the way that roleplay was so free back when we started. ive seen a few people bring up magic anons, what i like to call crack rp (insane happenings that are fun but not necessarily coherent/serious plotwise, primarily relying on "what if" and often arising from the m!as), spontaneous plotting, and doing away with the idea of like... "proper" plots being necessary. ive also seen people talk about formatting and focusing on aesthetics vs just writing freely, too

and i just wanna say: i echo all that, but also, we are the community. you, reading this, are the community. if you want to do things like that, then do! it turns out at least a handful of people seem on board, going off my dash alone, and honestly? it's a hobby, the entire point is to have fun. i'm not getting paid for this, and you most likely aren't either, so be free, have fun, idk

i maintain, my favorite plots ive ever written are those super insane ones. also, hot take: magic anons are good for character development; the constraint is more that instead of doing it based on timing (X for Y amount of time), it could be reserved to a specific thread or set of threads, or a specific number of replies. like, it can be made to work and it needn't interfere with the more serious threads either.

know that i always want to write new things with flint, but a) he is a tricky muse to write with if there's no plotting or discussion beforehand ( on the fly stuff just doesn't work with him, trust me, i've tried ) and b) in addition to being a big fan of his character, i am also the number 1 flint hater lmao
